Thanks to my BB, her friend held a "boot camp" at her fitness center and raised funds for Cup Of Joe gift cards for us......so, on a recent outing, we found a Green Beans on BAF and splurged on blended treats and pizza!
Me and my BB shopping at a local bazaar. Ahmed says he has the lowest prices in the bazaar, but we know you have to haggle to get those low prices! Even when stopping for a quick snap shot he grabs some of his wares to show in the picture!
A Heavenly Tree Grows in Afghanistan! I couldn't believe sighting this Heavenly tree while walking about BAF.......a familiar site from home...........I guess theses trees really do spread far and wide! I can only guess someone picked it for rapid shade................but soon will be sorry with all the suckers!
Oh, the irony! BB and I like to go around the perimeter for PT. Sometimes we walk with our IOTV gear on for conditioning, but no matter what work out we go for, we have to take our weapons with us. This time, we walked the first 2 miles, only to find out the last 1/2 mile is off limits due to the range being "hot". So, we turned around and did another 2 miles back home. We have gotten use to trying to be as normal as possible while a war goes on around us. It helps keep us sane, but reality is always happy to remind us where we are.
